ARTISTS

Blaus Wind Pick Me Up
Brothers Nathan and Zach Blaustone are BLAUS. The deep house duo blends ambient dub and cosmic disco to create “Booty Haus”, a fresh boundary-pushing addition to the EDM scene. The Northern California natives, currently residing in San Francisco, released their first single “Pecan Pie” on SLiCK Records in 2012. Black + White, the much-anticipated 12-track debut album self-released in 2013, is an atmospheric anthology of songs that indulge negativity with a positive charge. Black + White is BLAUS’s journey in releasing the mundane anxieties of daily life through a bounce of faith. — Listen to BLAUS and join the Booty Haus Movement.
Production and Engineering: Nathan Blaustone
Mixing and Mastering: Nathan and Zach Blaustone

James & Evander Un-Thinkable (Alicia Keys Cover)
James & Evander started in the apartments of its two members (whose real names happen to be Adam Myatt and Glenn Jackson) while both were attending an art school of sorts back in 2007. Driven by a love of synthesizers and a healthy curiosity for sonic exploration, J&E turned out a number of EPs over its first few years of existence, at first crafting tender slices of indietronica with The Awkard Turtle EP and later turning out stoney pieces of instrumental synth-pop on 2010’s Sunlight and Circuitry. Last year, the pair successfully added its own vocals to the mix, resulting in a three-track EP which molded the pairs’ knack for rich, flowing soundscapes into a space-age take on vocal-driven pop music. The Constellating EP opened up James & Evander’s appeal to a whole new audience, and helped them push their own spin on “future-pop” to new corners.

“Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready)” written by Alicia Keys
Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered by James & Evander at The Turtle Shell in Oakland, CA

The Hot Toddies Summertime Blues
The Hot Toddies, an all-girl band from Oakland, CA mix sunny beach pop, indie rock riffs and a dry sense of humor. Heidi, Erin and Sylvia are best friends who have been playing music, drinking whiskey and writing songs together since 2005. They’ve toured across the US, Canada and the UK in support of their 2 albums “Smell the Mitten” and “Get Your Heart On” out on Asian Man Records. Their latest EP “Bottoms Up” was released on Tricycle Records in Feb 2013.

Recorded by Muller at 1060 Studios
Mastered by Michael Romanowski

Modern Man She Wears Pants
Sound of light, fleeting darkness, wave of enlightenment. Droning echoes, whirling, driving, pushing, pulling, morphing the atmosphere. Reverberation, saturation, intoxication. Noise bleeds through a cloud of cascading layers until unity is acquired, lost in a sea of sound.

Recorded live at Sunnyside House
Engineered and produced by David Allen Glenn
Mastered by Jarrett Pritchard via Custom Made Music

Sioux City Kid American Honey
With whiskey dripping vocals and the energy of a runaway steam train, Sioux City Kid has taken the dark words of a drifter and weaved them with the sounds of thick Americana, blasting Classic Rock and soulful Delta Blues. “With a jackhammer for a mouth,” CMT details frontman Jared Griffin’s voice as “possessing the tattered vocal presence of a world-weary bluesman”. Bamm.tv raves, “Sioux City Kid combines all-out rockin’ with genuine musical prowess to the envy of their contemporaries” and Showbams warns to “expect a big season from this lot.”

Recorded at Coast Recorders, SF CA.
Engineered and Mixed by Andy Freeman.
Produced by Jared Griffin.
Mastered by Michael Romanows

Odd Owl The Way Home
Odd Owl’s sound carries the crossed cadences of old friends down rhythmic roads and up off-beaten paths. With members from Washington, Illinois, and California all converging in San Francisco, their progressive pop mirrors the omnivorous taste of their adopted home. Thanks to the successful completion of their Kickstarter campaign, Odd Owl will be releasing it’s third EP, The Call, in January 2014.

Recorded at Light Rail Studios in San Francisco, CA
Overdubbing and Editing at Little Bird Studios, San Francisco, CA
Producer: Carmen Caruso
Recording & Mixing Engineer: Elton Cunniffe

Kill Moi Hourglass
Kill Moi is an indie-rock band based in San Francisco that was described by one local reviewer as “Aggressive, melodic indie-rock meets Neil Diamond at a New Orleans funeral while reading a Murakami novel and drinking too much bourbon”. When not recording or playing amazingly awesome music, they are usually carousing at a local watering hole, discussing post-modern literature in coffee houses, complaining about the state of the economy, or yelling obscenities at TV screens. Their first album “Hold Me, Motherfucker” was released a few years back to rave reviews and little or no financial success. You should see them before you, or one of them, dies.

Produced by Kill Moi
Tracked by August Churchill
Mixed by Sean Beresford
Mastered by Piper Payne

The Tambo Rays Take That
The Tambo Rays have strange in their veins; what started as a bedroom solo project by multi-instrumentalist SF music man Brian DaMert ripened soon after he recruited his magnetic younger sister, Sara. Her playful manner fostered a new sonic direction that has fashioned a distinct and up-beat collaboration between the spirited siblings. The two were later joined by Greg and Bob rounding them out into a chill pop quartet.Together they have found a fresh, new and off the beaten path sound that’s euphoric vibe is limitless even in the catchiest climes of their pop driven landscape.

Recorded by Patrick Brown at Different Fur and Brian DaMert (his bedroom)
Mixed by Brian Delizza
Mastered by Mike Wells
